SUBJECT LEVELS
PRIMARY
students sit Standard Assessment Tasks (SATs) or Cognitive Ability Tests (CATs) at the end of primary school to assess performance.
LOWER SECONDARY
from year 7-9 students follow a national curriculum of core subjects, we can help with maths and have resources for sciences.
GCSE
GCSE courses are typically 2 years long, with a final set of exams sat at the end of year 11. many GCSEs involve practicals/ coursework, but the assessment Is mainly by exam. some subjects can be taken at one of two levels; Foundation, which covers grades 1-5 (E to C), and higher which covers grades 4-9 (D to A*)/
A-LEVEL
students can take AS exams in year 12, and A2 exams at the end of year 13. the AS exams no longer contribute towards the A level but are a stand-alone qualification.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB)
some independent schools offers the IB after the age of 16, it is similar to A-levels but is assessed in a different way and can be viewed as more challenging.
UNIVERSITY - UNDERGRADUATE
higher education offers a diverse range of vocational and academic courses leading to a degree or diploma.

BASIC SKILLS
we offer tuition for all ages In basic numeracy skills - for those wanting additional learning support, or for older children or adults who would like more confidence in basic maths and financial skills.
